Smalt vs Wispr Flow
A Wispr Flow alternative where your voice stays on your Mac
Smalt is a Mac app for dictation, meeting notes and live answers. Like Wispr Flow, you hold a key and talk into any app, and it can take notes of your calls without a bot. Unlike Wispr Flow, everything is transcribed on your Mac, there is no account, and it is free.
The short version
Wispr Flow is a polished cloud dictation service on every platform, with AI that adapts your text to each app. Smalt does the dictation on your Mac's Neural Engine, adds meeting notes and answers from your own folders, and can be bought once.
