What it costs to run
Voice, dictation and meeting notes run on your Mac's Neural Engine. Talking to Claude Code uses your Claude plan, as it always does. Cloud summaries, for Macs without Apple Intelligence, are optional and use your own API key, billed by the provider you pick, usually cents per meeting.
Your keys go from your Mac straight to that provider. There is no Smalt server in between.

Do I need a card or an account?
No. Download Smalt and use it. There is no account, and nothing asks for your email.
What will Pro cost?

Does anything cost extra?
Not from Smalt. Voice, dictation and meeting notes run on your Mac. Talking to Claude Code uses your Claude plan, as always. Cloud summaries, for Macs without Apple Intelligence, use your own API key, billed by the provider directly, usually cents per meeting.
